SOUPer Sunday 2025

The CALL in Hempstead and Nevada County will host their annual SOUPer Sunday fundraiser event on Sunday, October 5, 2025.“SOUPer Sunday is an annual opportunity for Hempstead and Nevada County churches and individuals to show love to local children and families impacted by foster care,” said Holli Boyett who is the Affilate Director for The CALL in Hempstead and Nevada Counties. “The idea is simple – churches sign up to participate, and individuals within their congregations make pots of soup. Soup is then packaged in containers provided by The CALL and sold after church on Sunday, October 5th for $8. All proceeds fund our ministry of recruiting, training and supporting locaal foster families. This fundraiser is critical as we receive no federal or state funds for our work,” Boyett said. Proceeds are used to host foster family recruitment events, train new foster families and support current foster families with tangibles such as beds, baby equipment, diapers and hygiene supplies.
